We've rescheduled our cancelled Brain Awareness Month event!

Brain Awareness Month is a chance for the Neurological Foundation to connect with its supporters throughout New Zealand and share with them the new and exciting breakthroughs that have been happening in the lab!

We hope you’ll celebrate Brain Awareness Month with us this year to commemorate the past 50 years of research, and to see where the next 50 will take us.

Throughout his event, Sir Richard Faull will be taking you through the wonders of the human brain. Find out why he fell in love with the human brain when he was just a third-year medical student and how his career has progressed throughout the years. You’ll learn about current research being conducted at the Centre for Brain Research as well as how the Neurological Foundation Human Brain Bank plays a very important role within research.

Sir Richard Faull will be sharing the discoveries he has made over the years, as well as the unknown wonders the human brain still has to offer.

Distinguished Professor Sir Richard Faull is the Founder and Director of the Neurological Foundation Human Brain Bank. He is also Distinguished Professor of Anatomy and Director of the Centre for Brain Research at the University of Auckland.

Since 1980 Sir Richard Faull has been funded by the Neurological Foundation. From large research projects to the grant that secured funding for the Brain Bank, Sir Richard Faull has been breaking the mold of neurological research for over 40 years. Professor Faull has had the chance to work with various other clinicians and scientists that are also now funded by the Neurological Foundation including Professor Maurice Curtis, Professor Alan Barber, Professor Bronwen Connor and many other PhD students and research fellows.

EVENT DETAILS

The event will be held in the Hobson Room of the Devon Hotel. There is parking onsite at the venue, but it is limited to hotel guests and event attendees.

The doors for registration and seating will open at 6.00 pm. There will be a mix and mingle period after the event with the speaker where refreshments and food will be served.
