Neurological Foundation Chapman Fellow, Dr Teddy Wu, running the Melbourne Half Marathon

Congratulations to Dr Teddy Wu who completed the Melbourne Half Marathon on the 15th October and has raised over $700 for the Neurological Foundation. Dr Wu managed to finish the 21km run in 1 hour and 56 minutes. Thank you once again Dr Wu for the generous support.

We are lucky to have our 2014 Neurological Foundation Chapman Clinical Research Fellow, neurologist Dr Teddy Wu, running the Melbourne Half Marathon in October to raise funds for the world-class brain research we award each year. Teddy hopes his running commitment will also encourage people to improve their brain health by healthy living.

Teddy was awarded the VJ Chapman Fellowship two years ago and transferred from Auckland City Hospital to the University of Melbourne for his year of clinical research. He has been studying therapeutics to reverse the effects of stroke, and his supervisor is the Head of Neurology at Melbourne Hospital, Professor Steve Davis. Teddy says that further research will lead to more progress in stroke care and improve patient outcomes after stroke.
